Noise Contemplator is a drone generator that uses noise as its primary waveform.
The noise passes through a Carrier unit, then through a Waveshaper and a Bitmasher. The result is pitched to the desired frequency before passing through two filters (Formant and Complex). The final stage features a Tape Simulator.
A complex Freq Animator modulation uses two sinusoidal LFOs, the first of which modulates the speed of the second. This helps to bring the sound to life.
Noise Contemplator works very well with other effects. Your favourite reverb will certainly sound wonderful with it. We recommend approaching Noise Contemplator as an experimental tool rather than a conventional instrument. Its role is to produce noisy, industrial sounds, not to replace your Steinway or your Gibson.
This instrument was designed for a collaboration with an artist.
Noise Contemplator features two LFOs, with the second modulating the first. This allows you to create complex and dynamic modulations.
Let the randomisation knob surprise you: it will guide you towards new ideas.
In addition, there are 20 presets to help you get to grips with the instrument.
Noise Contemplator is a full-featured Kontakt 8 instrument. It takes up less than 50MB of storage and runs on a reasonably modern CPU (a 7th-generation i5 is sufficient).
Don’t forget to install the included presets.
Note: Noise Contemplator comes with no manual. The demo video should help you get to grips with it quite easily.
